HGEM launches Track & Trace for hosted entry

With the re-opening of pubs and restaurants in England after the lockdown, one of the requirements is to keep a record of guest contact details. If a guest tests positive for Covid-19, then NHS Track & Trace will ask the venue for help in tracing who may have been close to that guest.

Booking apps and wifi providers can help here, but some of our clients have asked for a more definitive list of who has entered the building at a given time. So HGEM has developed a solution.

Each venue will have its own QR code. A host asks one guest from each party to scan the QR code upon arrival. A branded form opens, making it clear that no-one at the pub will have access to their details and that they will be deleted after 21 days. The guest enters their name and either their phone or email, then shows the confirmation to the host before entry.

Selected individuals then have access to a report in HGEM's Hub, where they can select a location and date, and extract a list of guest contact details upon request.

If this would be helpful for your venues, get in touch and we'll get you set up in no time.
