Publican Awards 2018

We had the pleasure of sponsoring the Publican Awards on Tuesday evening at Battersea Evolution, hosted by the Morning Advertiser. With 1,400 attendees the Publican Awards is an event always thoroughly enjoyed by team HGEM. The venue was in abundance of drink sponsors, a highlight for us was The Alchemist bar with their fun cocktails and misty drinks as well as the Appletiser bar.

We sponsored the award for Best Accommodation Operator which was richly deserved by Anglian Country Inns and presented by HGEM’s Business Development Manager, Matthew Smith. The Outstanding Industry Contribution award went to John Sands, known as ‘Mr Pubmaster’ who sadly passed away in August 2017. His wife accepted the award on his behalf, it was touching, and she shared a good message about the importance of life outside of work and finding the balance.
