Christmas Eve is notoriously a lucrative time for the hospitality industry, with many people keen to be part of the festive party atmosphere, a bit like in that Paul McCartney video

A recent HospitalityGEM survey has shown that 31% of potential punters are already gearing up for that festive celebration on December 24th with the majority of those (49%) planning to head out in the early evening for some Yuletide shenanigans with a couple of friends.

Landlords can expect a reasonably high turnover of customers, with the majority planning to stay for up to 2 hours before heading off.

28% of those planning a Christmas Eve pub or restaurant visit will also be out for a meal.
